He is the current World Solo Drumming Champion and has won this title ten times. In addition, he won the World Drumming Championship twice and the overall Pipe Band Championship once with the SFU Pipe Band. He has been the Lead Drummer of the Inveraray & District Pipe Band since 2009 and they have risen to become one of the most prominent pipe bands in the world. They won the World Pipe Band Championships and Champion of Champions title in 2017 and 2019.
