Congratulations to the ten North American Amateur Grade 1 pipers who have earned invitations to the 2021 Nicol-Brown Competition, to be judged remotely by video submissions. The Nicol-Brown Weekend will include a Judges’ Concert on Friday, October 8th, and Master Classes on Saturday, October 9th (Results will be announced on October 9th). The Nicol-Brown committee always looks to encourage and reward the highest levels of amateur Piobaireachd and Light Music performance. The Committee was able to evaluate the results from a variety of contests within the past 12 months.
The 2021 Nicol-Brown competitors are Jessica Bain (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), Callum Bevan (Abbotsford, British Columbia), Sean Buchta (Florida), Zippa Curiskis (Saint Paul, Minnesota), Trevor DeMass (Murray, Utah), Scott Long (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), Stuart H. Marshall (Greensboro, North Carolina), Charles-David Mitchell (Kingston, Ontario), Henry Michael Paluch (Aurora, Ontario), and Andrew Prioli (Cranston, Rhode Island).
