RSPBA Intercontinental Solo Drumming Championship
The EUSPBA is proud to announce that the RSPBA Intercontinental Solo Drumming
Championship will again take place within our association on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at
the Dunedin Community Center, Dunedin, FL.  This event is presented in conjunction with the
Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and in partnership with the Dunedin Scottish Arts
Foundation.  The top 4 prize winners of this event will earn qualification into the World Solo
Drumming Championships semi-finals in October 2023, in Glasgow, Scotland.  This contest will
also feature an additional hornpipe/jig event, that will be for cash prize only.
The contest will again include the Martin Duffy Memorial Juvenile (18 and under) MSR
competition.  Prizes include Scholarship and donated products.  
Also, the John Murray Junior Solo Snare Drumming Contest (18 and under), for grade 5 and
grade 4jr players, a 4-part March competition.  Prizes include Scholarship and donated
products.
NEW for 2023 is the addition of Solo Tenor Drumming events.  Cash Prizes for the Adult
contest, which includes an MSR and HJ event.  Juvenile Tenor (18 and under) MSR event and a
Novice (18 and under) 4-parted March event.  Juvenile and Novice event prize winners will
receive scholarships and donated products.  
The event is open for the public to enjoy this world-class solo drumming event.  Entries close on
January 19th and final schedules will be released shortly after.
